Born from a love of slow hands and soft clay.
AgilePath Clay Studio began in a tiny sunlit kitchen in San Francisco, where founder Maya Torres discovered how shaping clay could calm anxious minds and reconnect people with their bodies.
Our Journey
Maya starts weekly Wednesday evening classes in her garage for six neighbors.
We move into our permanent space in Hayes Valley with 12 wheels and a mantra: safety above speed.
Featured in Ceramics Monthly for our unique maternal, trauma-informed approach to teaching.
We launch our online catalog and global community of over 4,200 students.
Our Mission
We believe clay is a language. Our mission is to make that language accessible, safe, and joyful for everyone — especially those who have never held clay before.
No pressure. No “should”. We move at the speed of the slowest hands in the room.
Every tool, wheel and kiln is inspected daily. Our instructors are trained in trauma-informed practices.
We share knowledge freely and never gatekeep techniques or recipes.
